Clinical Guidelines Committee

We are pleased to announce the formation of the NAFTNet Clinical Guidelines Committee,  a new initiative dedicated to developing standardized, evidence-based practice guidelines in diagnostic imaging, fetal anomalies, and fetal intervention and surgery. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and committed volunteers to serve as committee members! 

To be eligible, you have to be a current practicing physician and part of the Steering Committee.

The application deadline is Wednesday, August 27, 2025

Committee Objectives

The Clinical Guidelines Committee aims to:

  • Develop and standardize evidence-based clinical practice guidelines

  • Collaborate with professional societies and colleges on joint publications and statements

  • Ensure guidelines reflect the latest scientific evidence and best practices

  • Promote consistency and quality in care across fetal medicine and surgery

Committee Member Responsibilities

  • Identifying guideline topics that require development or updates in the field of fetal medicine and surgery,
  • Recruiting external experts tailored to each publication,
  • Reviewing manuscripts and contributing as authors based on expertise and topic involvement,
  • Responding promptly to requests for evidence-based statements on critical clinical issues impacting fetal medicine and surgery.

Committee Structure and Term

  • Experts in fetal therapy, diagnostic imaging, fetal surgery, and related fields
  • At least one NAFTNet Board Member, as per the Executive Board’s directive
  • Term of Service: 2 years, with option to renew term
